The acquisition expands R&D’s manufacturing capabilities and capacity to accelerate the growth of the company.
Knight Machining specializes in high-quality, intricate, and precision machined components and assemblies. Additionally, they offer prototype services, tooling, and assembly fixtures for the medical device and automation markets. Knight’s manufacturing capabilities include CNC turning, CNC milling, screw machine turning, laser processing, and assembly services.
Knight Machine operates out of a 17,000 square foot facility located in Plymouth, MN. Knight Machining will continue to operate under the Knight name as a business unit of R&D. “With our continued growth, acquiring Knight Machining aligned with our overall business goals, stated Dave Erickson, President of R&D Engineering. “Their business model is similar to ours and provides exceptional resources and services to our customers.
